CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Judge Leslie Ann Celebrezze has admitted to judicial violations involving the steering of hundreds of thousands of dollars in business to a longtime friend.
Her attorneys are set to argue Monday over how she will be sanctioned. Celebrezze faces discipline that could result in her leaving the bench through the suspension of her law license or disbarment.
In filings late Wednesday afternoon with the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct, Celebrezze stipulated that the allegations against her were “true and accurate.” She was set to call witnesses in her defense before the board next week. After her admission Wednesday, her attorneys and state lawyers will instead argue her fate.
