CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Judge Leslie Ann Celebrezze deserves only a public reprimand for misconduct violations involving a longtime friend, her attorney said in a filing Friday.
The recommendation goes against one filed earlier this month by the office of the state’s disciplinary counsel, which investigates Ohio’s judges and lawyers. The counsel, Joseph Caligiuri, said Celebrezze should be suspended for a year – with six months dropped if she does not commit any other violations – for her handling of cases and the doling out of work to receiver Mark Dottore.
